Quick and tasty pasta with asparagus, onion, garlic, cayenne pepper and lemon. The lovely creaminess and brininess comes from KAVLI Shrimp Cheese.

Ingredients:
Serves 4
- 2 banana shallots, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Juice & zest of 1/2 a lemon
- 200g KAVLI Shrimp Cheese
- 1 cup asparagus, trimmed and halved
- 1/2 tbsp cooking oil
- 400g pasta
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the pasta in generously salted water till al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain off the rest. Set pasta aside.
- In a large non-stick pan on medium heat, fry the asparagus in cooking oil for two minutes. Remove asparagus and set aside.
In the same pan, fry the shallots and garlic until soft. Pour over 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Add pepper, cayenne pepper and lemon juice. Whisk in KAVLI Shrimp Cheese. Adjust consistency with more pasta water if needed.
Bring the sauce to a simmer, add in the cooked pasta and baby spinach. Top with asparagus pieces, lemon zest and chilli flakes.
