Healthy Apple Pie bar

Elf & Shelf | Healthy Apple Pie bar

A great option for a grab and go breakfast or for the kids’ snack boxes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup FELIX apple sauce
  • 1 Cup quick cook oats
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 30 grams coconut oil or melted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180c.
  2. Mix all ingredients well together in a large bowl.
  3. Line a 20cm x 20cm baking dish with baking paper and pour the oat mixture into the baking dish.
  4. Using a spatula, spread the oat mixture to make an even layer of around 1.5cm thick.
  5. Bake in the middle shelf for 25 min until firm, remove from the oven, cut up into portions with a pizza cutter, flip over the pieces and bake for another 10min to dry out the other side.
  6. Cool and serve, or freeze in portions.
